Today is International Volunteer Day and while some of us are forever volunteers deep down (once an AIESECer, always an AIESECer) some might not be so much into volunteering. That is why technology invented the volunteering apps through you can donate, spread the word or find volunteering opportunities.
Here are 5 awesome volunteering apps!
1. Charity Miles keeps you fit & donates for your favourite cause
Charity Miles helps you earn corporate sponsorships for charity work when you walk, bike or run. You can get 10 cents/mile for biking an 25 cents/mile for walking/running from their corporate sponsors. All you have to do is choose a charity and start walking! The app is available for Android and iOS.
2. Feedie – foodies can offer lunch for others
When you eat at a Feedie partner restaurant and you share a photo of your meal on social media, 25 cents will be donated by the restaurant to the Lunchbox Fund which provide South African countries with food. The app is available on Android and iOS.

Donate a photo is a free app created for Jhonson&Jhonson where you can share your photos and based on the awareness created you get donations for their causes.
4. Country Stats
Country Stats is an app created by UN where you can find lost of information about the UN Countries. In case you want to donate, but you want to do some research first. The app is available for iOS.
5. WowApp – chat & donate
WowApp is a free chat app that rewards its users for each action that they take in the app. Users can choose to keep or donate de money. WowApp is also available for PCs.
Let’s not forget about an amazing cause, Give Me Tap which reduces the plastic waste and also provides drinkable water for African countries. Not an app, but an amazing cause!
