We live crazy times, where being busy is “the norm”. If you don’t complain about how busy you are, there’s something wrong with you.
We are so used to hear “I’m so busy” that we think it’s completely normal to have 0 time left for yourself.
If you feel like everything is falling apart and you can’t keep up with all your things, here are some apps that will help any busy gal.
Hopefully, these apps for busy girls will help.
1. Period tracker
This is one of the reasons why this article is for ladies.
When I first got my period, I used to track it using one of those pocket calendars. Useless to say I kept losing it and I had to start over many times.
Luckily, now we have lots of period tracker apps that we can use. I personally love Clue app.
What I really love about this app is that is very insightful. It gives you scientific info about what you should do if you forget to take the birth control pill one day, what different symptoms might mean and so on. The coolest thing is that you can share some update with your partner so he can know when you’re on your period to avoid awkwardness.
2. Meal Tracker
I discovered Lifesum a couple of years ago, I think.
I have to admit that I’m not using it too much anymore because I’m not tracking my meals.
If you are on a diet or want to be more aware of what and when you are eating, this app will be your best friend. It gives you calories, nutritional facts, helps you drink more water and so on. Also, the PRO version can give you personalized meal plans based on your dieting goals.
You can also track workouts with this app or integrate the data from another workout apps as well.
3. To-do lists
I’m kind of old fashion and I like to write down my to-do lists and for that, I use a Moleskine planner. When I have too many things going on, I have to write them down. Apps and reminders only stress me out more. I’m weird, I know.
One of my all-time favourite to-do app is Wunderlist.
Here are the things I love about this app:
- it’s available on mobile and desktop version (through a browser)
- you can share your to-do lists and tasks with other co-workers
- you can set reminders and deadlines, assign tasks, attach files and notes
- clean and neat design
So whenever you’re on the go, you can check your to-do list for the day in a sec and update it.
4. Budgeting
There’s nothing easier than randomly spending money.
When you’re always on the go, it’s super easy to spend money on coffee, drinks, and quick snacks or meals that keep you going.
I recommend using Wally but go for the new version since it looks prettier. It might be a little trickier to get the hang of it at the beginning, but it’s really useful.
5. A good mailing app
One can easily get lost in hundreds of e-mails and newsletters. Luckily, I recently discovered the power of filters (or rules in Outlook).
I personally use Gmail. The mobile app is really easy to use and I added filters and folders so when I get an e-mail from a client it will automatically go to its specific folder, without cluttering my inbox.
For my blog, since I have a self-hosted e-mail address, I use Zoho mail.
Zoho is a great mailing service and for small business and bloggers, it can be free. You can create reminders, tasks, filter e-mails based on lots of criteria and the calendar is pretty awesome too. I love using it and setting it up for your self-hosted e-mail address is not difficult at all.
6. Habit tracker
Getting a bad habit when you are a busy bee is super easy to accomplish. Forming a good habit of eating at least one fruit daily or drinking enough water could be tricky.
I discovered coach.me quite a while ago and I absolutely love it.

You can track a variety of habits and if you’re really into it, you can get a habit coach that will help you to stick to a habit you want.
This article has a lot of tracker apps in it. But hey… when you’re busy you need some help to keep track of things, right?
What are your favourite apps that keep you going? Let me know in the comments below!

I just downloaded Clue a month ago – never had a period tracker before and I love it!
I can how all of these would be really helpful. I’m going to check Zoho out as well as coach.me.
Hope you’ll like them, Beth. I’m really obsessed with Zoho.
OMG I use Flo for my period tracker and LOVE it! It gives you advice about your PMS and when my cycles were getting longer it would even pop up with an article that said “Your periods are getting longer. This could be why”….with potential reasons. LOVE it!
I haven’t used Flo so far. Clue doesn’t send that kind of notifications – or I was not a subject for them – but they send out really informative newsletters.
Great suggestions! I’ll definitely be checking some of these out
I like the idea of the habit tracker app, and I TOTALLY need the meal tracker app — definitely will check that out!
These all sound great! I rely on GCal, Reminders and iCal haha.
I need to jump on board with most of these! I am a lover of apps myself so if there is an app that’ll make life easier, I’m all for it.
Thank you for your recommendations! I use Trello for my to-do lists and for planning my trips as well. It’s been great so far.
Glad you liked them!
I tried used Trello, but I think I’m too much of a potato to actually understand it. I find it quite difficult to use, or it’s just me being weird (I’ll go with the 2nd option).
I must say that I really, really love Moleskin planners. I still love using paper and pen, but apps are still a part of my everyday life. I don’t know what I would do without Basecamp. It’s my life coach!
Speaking of life coaches…I need to check out coach.me. Thank you for sharing!
Hope you’ll live coach.me as well, Laurie!
And yes… Moleskine planners are amazing.
I use both a period tracker and a habits tracker and it has helped organize my life so much! Not having to remember when my period is coming is one thing off my to-do list.
Yes, it’s very useful indeed. I like to share when I’m on my period via an app – cuts all the “he has to figure it out” awkwardness.
I used Clue before I got pregnant and it was helpful! I need to check some of these other suggestions out!
So happy to come across someone who knows and used Clue!
Hope you’ll like the other apps as well.
wow girl- i need like ALL of these ha my schedule is just so crazy but these seems to really help keep things in motion! i cant wait to download some of them 🙂
