Why are you moderating your comments?
I think it’s very important to mention that I appreciate a good argument or joke. I’m not looking for comments that only agree with whatever I say – because I can be wrong and I want to learn from other people. So, here are my reasons why I moderate the comments:
- to filter SPAM
- to check the links (if there are any) in the comments
- I don’t allow offensive/insulting vocabulary either to my person or to the readers of this blog. l love a good civilised argument. Be kind.
I left a comment, but I can’t see it, why is that?
If you left a comment on a certain blog post and it’s yet not shown, there might be some reasons why that happened:
- it’s me – I probably didn’t get to moderate the comment yet – apologizes if that happens, sometimes I forget some comments in the queue
- your comment has been marked as SPAM
- your comment was deleted
- Disqus may crash and your comment might not have got through – which sucks 🙁
Why was my comment marked as SPAM?
If your comment has lots of links and has nothing to do with the subject of the article, or it looks like it would fit any article, no matter the subject (eg. “This was very useful, thanks for sharing!“), most probably it will be marked as SPAM. More about spamming can be found here.
I left a link in my comment, but it’s no longer there, why?
I’m using a plug-in that detects broken links. I never delete broken links straight away. I leave them for a few days/weeks and recheck them. Some errors are temporary of just for a few hours, so I like to re-check the reported broken links. If they are still broken, then I will delete them. If a link is broken it won’t bring any benefits to anyone.
Do you host guest posts?
Even though you might have found some guest posts around, I don’t host guest posts anymore.
Why don’t you host guest post anymore?
Well, throughout my guest posting experiments, I noticed that my audience is not as engaged with this pieces of content as they are with the regular ones. I guess it has to do with my twisted way of writing things and people don’t find different types of content as engaging. People are very good at noticing when the content was written by someone else.
Anyway, I really want to help other fellow bloggers, start-ups and so on, so don’t get discouraged, send an e-mail and we’ll figure it out something. 🙂
Can you write a guest post for my blog?
Yes, I can. As long as you feel that the article’s subject and tone will bring an added value to your blog, I don’t see why I would write a guest post.
Can I get a backlink from you?
Yes, you totally can. I add backlinks to websites I find valuable for certain topics.
Although, I tend to not add a backlink just because someone insists his article is way better than the one I originally linked. I won’t substitute original backlinks at request.
Photography
Do you take your own photos?
Mostly yes. Unless I’m in them – which almost never happens. Sometimes I also use stock photos if I don’t have any picture that will fit my picky mood.
Who takes the photos that you’re in?
Sometimes is the tripod, sometimes a friend.
What camera do you use?
I have a Canon 700D. I take most of my photos using my 50mm gear. I also have a tiny adorable Sony TX Series that’s pocket size and takes really nice photos too. It’s perfect for going out, especially if you want a nice quality photo (it’s s compact camera).
Do you edit your photos? What software do you use?
I discovered post-processing a while ago and I love it! I’m also in a serious relationship with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom when it comes to editing.
Do you use any fancy equipment to take your photos?
If a pair of light umbrellas counts as fancy, then I guess I do. I also love my remote.
Advertising
Can I do business with you?
Why not? I’m up to new challenges and I would love to hear your idea! I like to be part of others’ dreams come true. You can contact me via the contact page for further details.
Can I get promotion on this blog?
I haven’t thought about making *janded a source for advertising, but I’ve promoted awesome ideas and causes throughout time. Send your idea and we will answer you as fast as we can.
Do you use affiliate links?
Yes, this blog is participating in different affiliate programs. I used affiliate marketing to bring some extra value to my content, but to also monetise the blog.
Why aren’t all promo content of affiliate links disclosed all the time?
The sponsored and affiliate programs are featured under Terms of Use (also above in this page). We do not have a specific regulation in EU about delousing affiliate links every single time.
Anyway, if there is something linked to a product, it will most probably be an affiliate link. I think there should be a form of monetisation involved when mentioning products. We (as bloggers) create awareness for them, just by mentioning their product.
Also, I insert natural links that add some extra value to the content. When there is something that is not naturally added (very unlikely), it is disclosed.
